The 40th annual St. Jude Telethon will be at the Peoria Civic Center on August 5, 2017 running from 6:00 p.m. till 12:00 a.m. The St. Jude telethon gives the community a way to fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The Telethon will help to raise money to ensure that families at St. Jude will never receive a bill. St. Jude believes that while families are staying there, they should be focused on helping their child and not worried about the expenses.
The Telethon will be broadcast live on Week-TV News Channel 25 and will take place while runners from all over finish their marathons at the Peoria Civic Center. This year there will be around 2,200 runners, and 200 of them will be participating in the Memphis to Peoria run. The total event is expecting to host between 7,500 – 8,000 people.
